Designing a toilet for your bathroom is easy because there are not many different things that you can do with it. They all come in one simple design that makes it easy to use in any type of bathroom. The only difference you will find in each one are the materials and colors used to make them.
Toilet Design Materials
There are three materials that are used to make toilets. The first and most common is porcelain. This is a highly durable material that is able to withstand the amount of water that it holds for years without any amount of damage. In order to keep this from becoming damaged you have to clean the inside and outside of it on a regular basis. Everyday household cleaners can be used to remove the dust, grime, and soap scum that tries to cover it.
Porcelain is used to create each part of the toilet. The only part that is able to successfully use other materials is the seat and cover. These are made using either porcelain, plastic, or wood. Many find it easier to use plastic because it is softer then porcelain and often not as cold. While they are affordable the downside to them is that they can be easily broken when slammed down too hard.
Wood is not as common because it offers such a drastic look to the design of the toilet. Also you have to spend more money on a smooth wood that will not give you any splinters.
Toilet Colors
There are two main types of colors that are used when designing a toilet. They are white and black. White is obviously the most common because it can be used in any type of bathroom and theme you are using. Because they are so common they are more affordable. The only downside to them is that the slightest amount of dust and mildew will show, forcing you to clean it more often then you would like to.
Black is a more drastic color that is often used in modern bathrooms or ones that have been painted with dark and vibrant colors. The great thing about using black toilets is that they you cannot often tell that they are dirty. Of course this will make it more difficult for you to effectively clean them. These types of toilets will also cost slightly more.
