Many of us will spend hours and hundreds of dollars when decorating the living room and bedrooms. The one room that we often forget about is the bathroom. We forget that each room – the bathroom included – is a blank canvas for us to do with as we please. If you love art than why not use different materials and characteristics that will help to create something unique.
Paintings
What is more artsy than paintings? Find smaller paintings that are placed along the whole wall. Try to make them spaced randomly on the wall so that it looks more natural and not so uniform. If you want a modern bathroom you can use abstract paintings and drawings. If you want something more traditional than find vintage paintings of people or buildings. Make sure that the pictures, photographs, and frames match.
Stained Glass Windows
Natural light is something that we all love to have in the bathroom. It helps to cut down on electricity bills and helps to prevent the growth of mold and mildew when the bathroom is not being used. The hardest part about this is trying to keep our privacy intact. The best way to accomplish this is to use stained glass windows. This is a beautiful piece of artwork that you can have in the bathroom. Find something elegant and traditional or choose something more modern.
Shower Curtains
Who knew that you could be artsy just by using a shower curtain? Forget using the plain, solid color curtains. Instead find something with a funny or unique design on it.
Mirrors
Mirrors are essential to any bathroom. Most of us will use the traditional wall mirror that hangs over the sink. To be more unique you can place small mirrors along the smallest wall. Choose different designs and styles of mirrors and run them along the length of the wall.
Wall Decals
If you don’t want to spend a ton of money – but still want to add a bit of flare to the room than use wall decals. Use the vinyl or wallpaper decals and find something that you like. All you have to do is put it in a section of the wall like a picture. To help accentuate the decals hang up a picture frame that will surrounded it.
